Catalina US Sabot

The U.S. Sabot by Catalina continues the tradition of the thousands of Sabots sailing today as the perfect first boat for the beginning sailor. Simplicity and safety make the U.S. Sabot popular with junior programs. Equipped with the racing package, the Sabot offers all the sail controls of a larger boat, so learning sailors can develop the full range of sail trimming skills. The U.S. Sabot is built to withstand the tough use of a learning sailor. The full flotation hull is made of inner and outer hand-laid fiberglass parts for strength and durability. The mast is tapered fiberglass and the boom is anodized aluminum.

Catalina Expo 12.5

The Catalina Expo 12.5 is a fun machine. Thanks to the SmartRig® and Hoyt boom, getting underway has never been this quick and easy! There are no stays, no chainplates, and no halyards. Putting the boat away is also a snap, as both mast and boom are deck-stepped and removable by hand, without any tools, in minutes. This is one boat every member of the family and friends will want to sail all day long. The tapered one piece carbon fiber mast means more sail power, with less weight aloft. The rotating SmartRig mast acts as a reefing line and furling drum to shorten or increase sail effortlessly. The same line even rolls the sail completely around the mast for storage. The Expo 12.5 has a seat across the cockpit, perfect for a crew member who is just learning to sail, or just wants a comfortable place to enjoy the ride. Best of all the Expo 12.5 is a Catalina and is built with the same quality materials and attention to detail as every other model we build. Standard items include a one-piece fiberglass deck with molded-in non-skid and hand laid fiberglass hull. Full flotation inside the hull means the 12.5 is virtually unsinkable. The Expo 12.5 is perfect for the new or experienced sailor who want a great handling sailboat that is non-technical. Simple to rig, exciting to sail, the 12.5 is all about fun on the water.

Catalina Expo 14.2

The design of the Catalina Expo 14.2 is based on the hugely successful Catalina 14.2. Having built over 5,000 Catalina 14.2s the Expo is intended as an alternative rig configuration for those new to sailing or experienced sailors who want to enjoy the fun of small boat sailing in a simple, non-technical fun boat. The SmartRig® system consists of a tapered carbon fiber mast and deck stepped Hoyt boom. Just two lines control all the sail’s power. One line controls the sail size, while the mainsheet line shapes the sail. Strong, yet flexible, the mast bends in the gusty conditions instead of the boat heeling excessively. Having far less weight than an aluminum mast, the boat is more stable, with less tipping. At the end of the day, just pull the furling line and the sail wraps completely around the mast. The mast and boom are free-standing and have no wires or chainplates to work around. This not only greatly decreases set-up time, but makes for a roomy, more comfortable, inviting cockpit. The one-piece aluminum Hoyt boom is up high and out of the way, with no chance of falling into the cockpit.

Catalina 18

The entire deck, cabin house and cockpit are new for the mark II edition of the popular Catalina 18. More sculpted curves have contributed to a boat that is more comfotable in the cockpit, safer on deck and more pleasing to the eye. The cockpit seats are still 6 ft. 10 inches long and even more comfortable than before. Below is a well lighted and ventilated compartment, perfect for overnight accommodations for a couple or family with children. Shoal draft and good performance in light and heavy winds dictated the Capri 18 hull shape. The Catalina 18mkII is well balanced and light on the helm, inspiring confidence in the learning sailor and delighting the seasoned skipper.

Catalina 22Sport

In response to Catalina 22 owners’ requests for a production boat that more accurately reflects the original dimensions and weight of this popular one design boat, Catalina Yachts is now building the Catalina 22 Sport. Catalina Yachts aims to encourage more family racing with the thousands of first generation 22s by offering an alternative to finding an older boat, and restoring it just to be competitive in the dozens of established Catalina 22 fleets. Like the first Catalina 22, the 22Sport is easy to trailer, and a great boat to step up from dinghy sailing to a pocket cruiser/race, offering the quality and value Catalina owners have come to expect since 1970.

Catalina Capri 22

Known for its sweet sailing performance in nearly all conditions, the Catalina Capri 22 has been winning sailors since it’s introduction. The Capri 22 is more comfortable, safer at sea and easier to maintain than any boat in it’s class. The striking deck profile is flared across the stern and has wider cockpit curves for crew comfort during and after sailing. Under the full reclining length seats is a new storage locker and separate battery locker. A complete racing package is available, including: symmetrical spinnaker, sheets, pole and backstay tension adjuster. The enclosable head and available galley module make the Capri 22 suitable for extended daysailing or weekending.

Catalina 250 Wing Keel

The Catalina 250 wing keel model offers the increased stability and tracking afforded by a lead keel. Removal of the centerboard trunk allows 5 additional inches of headroom in the cabin. Quality hardware and finish are just some of the features that make the 250 the leader in her class.

Com-Pac Picnic Cat 14

The Picnic Cat is from the drawing board of Clark Mills, designer of our former 16 CB and our 23/3, and well known also as the designer of the Optimist Pram and the Windmill One Design. Unlike her sister Com-Pacs the Picnic Cat has a centreboard rather than a keel. With her centerboard up she is beachable. Her broad hull form and the low center-of-effort of her gaff-rigged sail make her very stable. And her huge self-bailing cockpit and ample stowage offer unsurpassed comfort in a small, easily handled package. She's built of solid, hand-laid glass, with aluminum spars and stainless centerboard. In addition, the exclusive Mastendr™ mast raising system revolutionizes the trailer-boating experience.

Specifications

  • Length Overall: 14 ft. 0 in. /  4.27 m
  • Beam: 6 ft. 6 in. /  1.98 m
  • Draft, board up: 0 ft. 6 in. /  0.81 m
  • Draft, board down: 2 ft. 8 in. /  0.15 m

Com-Pac Sun Cat 17

Clark Mills wanted to design a shoal daysailer that would rig and sail easily, quickly, and comfortably - as well as accommodate his family and friends. Outfitted with the Mastendr™ quick rig sailing system and stainless steel centerboard with fiberglass trunk, the Sun Cat will provide convenient trailering and maintenance-free enjoyment. Individuals who appreciate timeless design and quality fabrication, who wish to explore coastal waters and quiet creeks, and who demand value from a yacht, will warmly relate to the "new tradition" that the Sun Cat brings.

Com-Pac 14-21' Mastendr System

One person can lift the hinged mast from its rest position on the transom support, with the boat on the trailer or in the water. Side stays and halyards are already in position.

Insert the mast-hinge lock pin. The hinge has great strength. The stays provide all the support needed.

Attach the forestay tang to the stemhead with the quick-clevis pin. Tension the rigging by simply pulling down on the forestay self-locking lever.
